PQs Pain.

Pain (Feat. Candy Porcelain) by Seigar

This photo-narrative explores the concept of pain and its relief. Candy Porcelain as the protagonist writes herself a hurtful letter about pain. She then reads her letter and feels shocked by the messages, as a symbol of all the drama happening around the world.

Her drag works as the spiritual defender on a personal and global level, bringing melodic oxygen for the final act of the rebels. In a liberating performance, working as a human channel, she paints, dances, poses for the camera as a model, and blows some of her makeup. The close-ups of her eyes and lips intend to connect with surrealism and pop culture.

All these artistic rites inspired by drag creativity represent relief from the pain. This work continues my focus on identity, and it also presents the idea that art can bring joy and hope.
